Awareness Campaign for Celiac Disease April - June, 2007.

Westchester and NYC. The project was sponsored by the Greater New Haven
Celiac Group and funded with money raised from the Connecticut Celiac
Walkathon 2006. See

- Connecticut Celiac Walkathon
Started in 2004, and continued annually through 2007, the
Connecticut Celiac Walkathon raised almost $100,000 for celiac research,
awareness projects and to support Connecticut celiacs. Much more than just
walking, there was an
antique fire engine for the
kids to explore, a raffle and picnic, and goodie bags. Beth Hillson from the
Gluten Free Pantry was the first Honorary Chair and
US Representative Rosa
DeLauro was named Honorary Chair in 2006, as she co-sponsored the Food
Allergen Labeling Act that went into effect that year.
